My story
I like understanding how things work — then building my own.
I’ve always learned by pulling ideas apart and trying to make something of my own. That started with creative projects and hardware and now carries into software, self-hosted infrastructure and products I can put in front of real people.
Today that means studying Software Engineering at Eduvos, running The Kids Are Coding and building the projects on this site: a TrueNAS home lab, a DIY SlimeVR tracker prototype and an AI assistant experiment.
My full name is William Joseph Edward du Plooy.
